George Horler - Natural Light

If you've been following North then you'll know the story behind the cover in issue 09. No? Well to cut a long story short, my camera broke while shooting with Daniel Kim on a rooftop in Brooklyn. I hadn't had the camera for very long so I was pretty pissed off.

I recently got round to repairing the camera and thought I'd take it out to make sure it was working ok. The main reason I wanted this camera is that it can shoot up to 2000th of a second, which would allow me to shoot natural light, which I'd been doing a lot with 35mm. I've only even shot skating with flash on medium format so I was interested in seeing the results.

I was hyped on how sharp it was but not on the angle of the photo. We went back and shot the 180 again long lens on 35mm. You can check that out in George's interview in North 12.
